EMERGENCY DENTAL APPOINTMENTS
Emergency Dentist in Mississauga, ON
If you have a dental emergency, you should not wait or delay seeing a dentist. The longer it takes you to be seen by a dentist, the more likely it is that the level of pain will increase.
If you have broken a tooth, see a dentist immediately to determine if the tooth nerve and tooth root are unaffected. If you have lost a tooth, locate the tooth immediately and store it in milk. If no milk is available, place the tooth back in the socket if possible or tuck it in between your cheeks and gums securely until you can see a dentist. If you are seen within the hour, it may be possible to save the tooth.
If you experience unknown swelling in your gums, tongue, cheek, etc., you should also schedule a dental visit to determine the cause of the swelling and treatment options. Most issues resolve within a few days to a week or so. Call us right away if you have chronic problems, such as swelling, bleeding, or pain that lasts for more than a couple of weeks.
